These terms are the agreement between you and the maker of Doydum for using the Doydum app and the doydum.app website. We’ve kept them short and plain. By using Doydum, you agree to them; if you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Who we are
Doydum is made by Mehmet Sumer, an independent developer in Turkey (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@doydum.app.
Estimates, not medical advice
Doydum helps you keep track of food, water, steps and weight. Everything it calculates or suggests is an estimate: daily targets come from a published formula, and photo, barcode and AI results can be wrong. Doydum is not a medical device and doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It doesn’t replace a doctor or registered dietitian. Please read the Health and AI notice, and check anything that matters to your health with a professional.
Who can use Doydum
- You must be 18 or older.
- You need an iPhone and an Apple Account to sign in with Apple.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have or have had an eating disorder, or have a medical condition, use Doydum only with guidance from a professional.
Your account
You sign in with Apple. Keep your phone and your Apple Account secure, because anyone who can open them may see your Doydum data. You can sign out or delete your account at any time in Settings; see account deletion.
Subscriptions
Doydum Pro unlocks the whole app, with monthly and yearly plans. Purchases are made and billed through Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s terms apply to them too. The price, and any trial if one is offered, is shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription. All the details are in the subscription terms.
Fair use
Please use Doydum the way it’s meant to be used. Don’t:
- try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or into our systems;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app, its art or its AI features, or use them to build a competing service, except where the law allows it;
- overload the service, use bots or automated requests, or work around limits such as the daily number of scans;
- upload photos or text that are illegal, that you don’t have the right to share, or that show other people without their permission;
- use the AI features to produce harmful content or to get around their safety rules.
If you break these rules, we may limit or close your access. Where we can, we’ll tell you first.
Your content
Your meals, photos, notes and other entries stay yours. You allow us to store and process them only to run Doydum for you, as the privacy policy describes, including sending them to our AI provider when you use an AI feature. You can export or delete them at any time.
Doydum’s content and credits
Doydum’s code, text and design, the character Doy, the dish illustrations and the doydum.app website belong to Mehmet Sumer and are protected by copyright and other laws. Doy and the dishes are original work made for Doydum. The farm’s pixel art comes from the Tiny Wonder packs by Butter Milk and is used under its licence; that art remains Butter Milk’s work (“Art: Tiny Wonder packs by Butter Milk”).
We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Doydum on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and the App Store’s rules. You’re welcome to share your farm postcards and screenshots of your own app for personal use. Anything else needs our permission.
AI features
Photo scans, Ask AI, Doy’s insights, chats and some of Doy’s lines are written by AI. AI can misread a photo, miss a hidden ingredient or simply be wrong, and product details found on the web can be out of date. Check results before you save them, and don’t rely on them for medical decisions. AI features need an internet connection and have daily limits (for example, up to 30 scans a day).
Changes to the app
We keep improving Doydum, so features may change, be added or be removed. We work to keep the service running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always run without interruptions or errors, for example during maintenance or when a provider has an outage.
Liability, in plain words
We build Doydum with care, but we provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, or for decisions you make based on estimates or AI answers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, and nothing takes away your rights as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop using Doydum at any time and delete your account in Settings. If you have a subscription, cancel it separately with Apple. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Doydum, its content, its support or any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use of the App Store also follows Apple’s own terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date on it, and tell you in the app about important changes before they apply. If you keep using Doydum after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. If a dispute can’t be solved by writing to us first, the courts and consumer arbitration committees of Turkey have jurisdiction. This doesn’t affect any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
