About Doydum

Doydum is made by Mehmet Sumer, an independent developer in Turkey who also makes a few other small apps. There’s no big company behind it: one person designs the app, writes the code and answers the email.

The name means “I’m full” in Turkish: the little sentence you say when a meal was just enough.

Why Doydum exists. Keeping track of food can easily turn into a wall of numbers and red warnings. Doydum tries a kinder way. You log a meal with a photo and get an honest estimate you can fix. A small pixel friend, Doy, keeps you company, and the farm around his house grows with the days you show up. A missed day is covered by a rain barrel, not met with guilt.

What we hold ourselves to:

  • Honest estimates. Photo results and daily targets are estimates, labelled as such and always editable. The app shows how your plan is calculated, step by step.
  • No ads, no tracking. Doydum shows no ads and has no tracking tools. Your data runs the app for you and is never sold.
  • No shaming. No good or bad foods, no comments on bodies, no guilt. Doy never suggests eating below your plan’s minimum, fasting or earning food with exercise.
  • Your data is yours. Export everything as a file, or delete your account from Settings, at any time and without asking anyone.

Credits. The farm’s pixel art comes from the Tiny Wonder packs by Butter Milk: “Art: Tiny Wonder packs by Butter Milk”. Doy and the dishes he snaps are original, made for Doydum. Barcode data comes from Open Food Facts, an open food database built by volunteers, and the plan follows the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, published in 1990.

Say hello. Questions, ideas, a bug, or a dish Doy doesn’t know yet? Write to support@doydum.app. Doydum is coming soon to the App Store.
