You can delete your Doydum account and all its data yourself, from the app, at any time. You don’t need to contact us. Deleting can’t be undone, so read the two notes below before you start.
Before you start
- Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription. In Doydum, go to Settings → Subscription → Subscription help and management, or follow the steps in the subscription terms.
- Keep a copy if you want one. Settings → Legal and data → Export a copy of my data saves your records as a JSON file.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Today tab and tap the gear at the top to open Settings.
- Scroll down to Account actions.
- Tap Delete my account and data.
- Read the note and tap Verify and delete.
- Confirm with Sign in with Apple. For your safety, deleting needs a fresh sign-in from the last few minutes.
A deletion status screen then shows each step as it finishes. You can close the app: the work continues on our server from the last completed step. If a step needs attention, tap Continue deletion; finished steps aren’t repeated.
What is deleted, and in what order
- Your sessions are closed and the account is locked right away.
- Any scans still in progress are stopped.
- Your photos are erased first, then your data: profile and plan, meals, foods, water, steps, weigh-ins, Doy’s notes and chats, streak and farm progress, and any optional usage data.
- Doydum’s access to your Sign in with Apple is revoked, and your customer record at RevenueCat is deleted.
- Finally, your account identity is removed.
On this iPhone, Doydum’s reminders are cancelled and the widget goes back to a signed-out Doy. Most deletions finish quickly; steps that wait for Apple or RevenueCat can take longer, and the status screen shows where things stand.
What may remain
- Apple keeps its own records of your purchases and of Sign in with Apple, under Apple’s privacy policy. You can review the apps that use your Apple Account in your iPhone’s Settings app.
- Billing records: subscription events we received are kept for accounting, with every identifier linked to you removed.
- A deletion receipt with no personal data stays for 30 days so the status screen can work, along with one-way codes that stop late billing messages from recreating anything.
- Usage events at PostHog, if usage data was on, aren’t erased automatically: write to support@doydum.app and we’ll delete them. On this iPhone the app starts a new, anonymous identity.
- Backups at our providers are overwritten on their own schedule.
- Theme and language preferences stay on your iPhone until you delete the app.
Can’t open the app?
If you no longer have the app, install Doydum again on an iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account and follow the steps above.
If you can’t reach Settings (for example, because your subscription has ended and the app opens on the plan screen), or you’ve lost access to your Apple Account, write to support@doydum.app with the subject “Account deletion”. You don’t need to subscribe again to have your data deleted. We’ll explain how we can confirm the account is yours and help you finish. Please don’t send health details.
